Innospection is a proud member of the PETROBOT Project.

This consortium consists of ten members working together to develop a series of robotic inspection solutions. These robots are to be used by asset inspectors to conduct remote inspection of pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks which are widely used in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry.

This unique partnership approach ensures that processes such as pre-inspection cleaning, screening, inspection and engineering analysis can be carried out more efficiently and effectively.

The objectives of the PETROBOT project are:

  • to minimise the exposure of personnel to potentially hazardous conditions
  • to reduce downtime
  • to save resources by utilising robotic technology

The PETROBOT Project is supported by an EU grant from the FP7 Robotics program and is a three year project
